I'm originally from there and I hear sometimes people applaud when the plane safely lands at the Tegucigalpa airport.

Lastima ver una critica no solo al aeropuerto sino a todo el pais. Tegucigalpa esta rodeado por montanas, lugares planos estan lejos, y es bien dificil reubicar a un aeropuerto. Algun dia, lo haran, y la gente acostumbraran a las inconveniencias mientras aprecian menos peligro. Sin embargo, muchas personas prefieran que el aeropuerto queda en el mismo lugar. Ademas, miles y miles de vuelos han aterrizado aqui sin problema. Tambien, Honduras es una maravilla en tantos aspectos.

Notese come el piloto aterriza antes de la linea blanca para aprovechar la corta pista.

As a 300 hr. Private Pilot (Novice) ...... this is incredible.... Woa!!!!!!! THIS is R-E-A-l- F-L-Y-I-N-G- by the seat of your pants....or maybe should i say DIAPERS.... Frigging AMAZING!!! We are taking a !@!##$%^%$ million dollar plane... AND lives....plus luggage...

absolutely, I am sitting in Tegucigalpa writing this, I flew in from Miami today, and this is EXACTLY how it happens...lol!! I had my stomach in my throat for about 5 minutes in approach but especially the last minute!
