Wow, there are some strange sounding people on this page. LOL, I'm used to people saying "ThIz SUCkZ!" or "PwNAGE!" "Koreans are the people who have least common senses in the world." Further, how many eastern bloc county-men during the Cold War received the prizes?? These prizes are issued by the west and generally given to the west. Many of the foundations of Western thinking are Asian and some have Korean influences. I provided one eg. printing type. I am sure if I dug more I could give more eg.'s. I do not understand your Zimbabwe ref.?? Also, I am clear with my ref. and eg. what do you mean "Stop beating around the bush."

It's unfair of you picking and choosing which Nobel Prize warrants great achievment and which does not. NPP is as significant as any and reflects multi disciplines of political science, rhetoric, and many of the social sciences which are applied to a human situation directly. Regardless the Nobel prize is absurd to rate a country's educational system with. It is clearly POLITICALLY motivated and has racial undertones. How many African, South American, and Asian recipients are present?

Koreans created metal type set printing 200 years before Gutenberg. I'd say that is something to be pretty proud of. That is one thing off the top of my head.

Furthermore, you seem to contradict yourself. You use the NPP as a rating of great achievement which you condemn Korea with, but you demean the award and the NPP's decision when you said "2nd. For many the Sunshine Policy represents nothing but failure. Feeding enemy's troops can't be claimed a diplomatic success". You are all over the map and your argument is not logical.

China was brought up as an example b/c you rated the Korean ed. system globally with an international award- the Nobel Peace Prize. China has historically demonstrated great tech./ed. achievements yet not won a NPP; therefore, rating Korea with NPP achievements is weak- that is my point. What do you mean "Sunshine policy". Regardless of your spin on this, KIM DAE JUNG award was a valid NPP. Using NPP as a rating of ed. systems is absurd, b/c the award is completely politically pointed.
