Rubbish. Greek industries and banks are highly successful in the Balkan and eastern european markets. And greek-owned ships transport a huge part of international trade, especially from Asia. Eu aid was given as a trade-off for opening up greek markets to western european industrial competition. The aid is mutually advantageous. Because of all that Greece has come very close to the per capita GDP of Italy.

greece italy spain and portugal....all of them are the same. its not the country its the people. maybe politics dont work well but people are open and welcoming, friendly and funny not like in the north of europe. so....every country has its good and bad.
