One of the best films ever made. There is alot to learn here about the brutal oppression of colonialism, foreign occupation, and its tragic ongoing legacy. Thanks for posting it.

Yes, I would say the people involved have made a serious effort to create a fairly balanced and artistic account of the arbitrary violence of that time in Algeria.
